Learn about the Battle of Haldighati: ---

In the history of Haldighati Pass, there was a war between Maharana Pratap and Akbar's army. ... It is a valley between Khamnor and Balicha village in the Aravali mountain range. It has been added to Rajsamand and Pali Jilans. It is 40 km away from Udaipur.

On 18 June 1576, Akbar won the entire battle of Mewar and was attacked by Mughal forces led by Mughal generals Raja Mansingh and Asaf Khan. Hakim Khan was the general of Maharana Pratap at that time. At that time there were Rajputs in Akbar's army and Muslims in Mewar's army.

Differences between the two rulers led to the famous battle of Haldighati. Maharana Pratap's army was in large numbers and the Mughals won the war after a fierce battle in the narrow mountain pass.

Despite the victory, the Mughals failed to capture Maharana Pratap or any member of the dynasty and it remained a futile battle for the Muslim king.

Maharana Pratap later reclaimed his lost territory and was succeeded by his eldest son Amar Singh.
